Phil Robertson Blocked On Facebook; Guts Zuckerberg

Be a man Zuckerberg and stop skating.

You're not that smart kid. You may have '50 billion' but that won't shield you from people seeing right through your anti-free speech antics.

Admit you're being a disingenuous censorious cunt. Have the balls and admit it.

Maybe, just maybe, some of us may actually respect you.

Okay. I'm out of line. Maybe Zuckerberg is just an awkward nerd with self-esteem issues and this makes him come off all wrong. I really don't care. What I care about is Facebook suppressing freedom of speech and expression.

Zuckerberg. Ask yourself this: When you talk a mean humanist game, does by your actions curbing another person's right to speech and expression stand diametrically opposed to your claims about 'bringing people together'?

From where I sit, of course the answer is no. Your actions divide people. You're in fact a sower of discord.

Unless, the point of your social game is to bring together people of like mind, then it's a different story. Here then, you have a little collectivist shithole.

Robertson is right. Your sin is that you violate an inalienable right for no good reason other than you disagree with people.

You got some soul searching to do son.

And some reading.

****

"It's "an idealistic and optimistic" place, Zuckerberg said. He portrayed public concerns about privacy and misuse of user data as an unfortunate consequence of bad actors who had taken advantage of their idealism. Despite all the good that Facebook has allegedly done, "we didn't do enough to prevent these tools from being used for harm," said Zuckerberg."
That goes for fake news, foreign interference in elections, and hate speech, as well as developers and data privacy. We didn't take a broad enough view of our responsibility, and that was a big mistake. It was my mistake, and I'm sorry.

Something tells me he's not sorry. Surprised and sorry he was caught, but I don't think, on a deep philosophical level, he gets it.

You try and silence people, then you don't have much of an understanding of human nature and history.

Problem is, I don't see how censoring people like Diamond & Silk are doing any harm to anymore,

I fail to see how censoring people is 'optimistic' or 'idealistic.' And idealism can be a tricky thing to navigate through. It can easily cross over into intolerance and puritanism.
