Hunchback of Notre Dame: Memorable Cinema

I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923) last night. Great silent flick. A stirring cast that included legend Lon Chaney as Quasimodo. What is it with these 1920s and the ability to be so capable of creating frightening and everlasting characters? I also loved Brandon Hurst's work as the villainous rat Jehan Frollo. There were some facial expressions in there that are pure classic.

Now to hit Victor Hugo's classic novel.

  1. I watched one Lon Chaney movie as a kid. I thought it was laughable. FWIW....

  2. I had to look up FWIW. I don't do initials.

The most frightening people to me were Michael Myers and the dude who played the hit man in 'No country for old men.' Holy crap, talk about terrorizing evil.

  3. Now, I'm curious! Where does one go to look up thingies like "FWIW"?

  4. BTW, my first comment was stupid (I was tired). Note Dame was serious cinema.

  5. Yeah, and I meant Myers from Halloween not Austin Powers and Wayne's World. Heh.

Just punch in 'FWIW' in Yahoo Search or Google an VOILA!
