Assholes of the week.
John Galliano and Charlie Sheen.
Couldn't care less about these two but what I find interesting is their seeming, rabid, racist hatred of Jews.
Consider jack off Galliano:
"People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f—– gassed."
He said this at a table at some party. If I were there, I would smack him with a baguette. Some people deserve a beating. Sorry folks. I can just imagine the stupid things that come out of celebrity mouths sometimes.
Sheen, for his part, went off on Chuck Lorre calling him 'Levine' and we all know wannabe pseudo-intellectual movie maker Oliver Stone thinks of Jews. Charlie's father is Martin. Look up some of his own gems.
Mel Gibson is another.
Ans so on.
I've always remained shocked at Desmond Tutu too - Obama's hero.
Why don't we just call these people for what they are?
A bunch of prejudicial jerks who think a little too highly of their own intelligence.
I'm sure Mr. Galliano, Mr. Gibson, and Mr. Sheen are using their incredible minds, money, and resources to provide assistance, to people in Japan even as we speak. It will be you and I who are proven totally wrong about these guys.
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing. They usually do but jesus, spare me the Jew crap.
ReplyDeleteHow can they prove us wrong when they're on record saying stupid things?
By the way, I'm strictly commenting on their remarks about Jews. Everything else is I can't possibly talk about. For all I know, Sheen may have reason to be angry with Lorre.
ReplyDeleteThese guys seem to have a lot of trouble with things like booze, dope, untreated illnesses, or so it seems. It does not make their shitty comments any less revolting, but it does point out the need for people with these problems to get some serious help.
ReplyDeleteI agree. But you and I both know smart, sober people think like this as well. Bishop Tutu, who is respected, among them.
ReplyDeleteI simply don't tolerate it.
What obligation do they have to help Japan? There is no such moral obligation binding on anyone, nor does doing such make one a more virtuous person.
ReplyDeletebut it does point out the need for people with these problems to get some serious help.
Fuck that "you need help" bullshit! The whole anti-human "therapeutic" structure needs to be dismantled.
And on anti-semitism, yes, it's wrong. But maybe, from the perspective of someone like Mel Gibson (a Christian), it stems from knowledge of the centuries of slander (to a Christian) against Jesus and his mother by Jews (Mary was a whore who slept with a Roman soldier, Jesus was a bastard, etc.).
Drunks, druggies, the addicted to all sorts of things who shoot off their mouths in public, in front of the cops, and the press, are probably just saying out loud what too many people think. That means too many people are thinking quite wrongly, and probably doing a lot more damage in subtle ways than these loudmouths.
ReplyDeleteAs for not tolerating this sort of shit. You are more than right.
