For the heck of it here are the results to the Laval elections.
Once again, Lavallois don't show much creativity as they gave perpetual incumbent Gilles Vaillancourt a sixth mandate. And by mandate I mean mandate as they failed to elect any member to council from an opposing party. Let's just call Gilles "The Hammer" because we're all the nails. He can name himself Mayor for life at this point and the people wouldn't notice.
It's been this way as far back as I can remember with Laval.
As for the mother metropolis of Mont-Real, Gerald Tremblay gets elected for the third time although the results haven't been confirmed.
Mr. Tremblay says he will clean up corruption. Good luck.
