Suspicious Media (Blogging) Reporting; Two Can't Play This Game; Words Of Wisdom

The media, known as MSM, was reporting "thousands" showed up at the 9/12 rally in Washington. As usual, one need only google to get more information. According to some (debatable) estimates, it was as high as 2 million. One person on the radio, who (claims) has been to a few in his day, had it pegged to around 500-800 thousand.

The media may have had omething to hide given the scant attention the rally garnered. As a result, there's been a turf war about how many people actually attended. The body of evidence and eye witness has grown enough to ascertain a reliable enough estimate. The number has been as low as 500 000 and as high as 2 million. Either way, much higher than the "thousands" reported.

National Parks Service and Homeland Security (according to one person but I'm still trying to find this) have the number in the 2 million range. In fact, NPS says it's the largest rally ever.

Yet, the Huffington Post is reporting that some Teabaggers (as they've been cynically called) are circulating fake pictures over stating the numbers.

Either way, it sounds like more than just "thousands." The Washington Post was one of them. Gee, you'd think they'd get it right, what, with it being in their back yard and all.

Which brings me to how blogs on the left are rationalizing and reporting the event organized by the Tea Party. As it unfolds, to them, it's all based on racism.

Indeed.

800 000 people descend on Washington and all are racists thus making it the biggest KKK party in history.

Talk about painting a picture with one brush.

For a "progressive" bunch they sure know how to pigeon hole the whole darn thing. I seem to recall how they were upset how anti-war protestors were being painted with the same brush because of a few bad apples. Now, they go out of their way to pick out the bad apples to make their own specious points. Playing the race card (and I'm sure that does play some role) as the only reason why this took place is not only unfortunate, it's lame.

It's clear there's something going down in the States and methinks it ain't just about health care - or race.

The United States is in serious need of some kind of revolution.

Heard President Obama made another interesting assertion. He was defending his insane bail out (of his corporate donators...cough) by saying this was "not of his choosing."

Four tiny words can leave a gaping hole of logic - to me anyway.

First off, yes it was. You made the decision therefore it was of your choosing. To say otherwise suggests there were no alternative options on how to handle the economy. There were.

For starters, how about letting the "too bigs to fail" fail? By engaging in economic smoke and mirrors all the government has done is prolong the agony. It refused to think creatively and with real will in order to begin the process of mending the American economy properly.

Again, printing money that can't be backed by real assets and by a Federal Reserve unaccountable to the people is, as I've argued above, insane.

This will happen again. It doesn't take a genius to know this to be true.

Wise words from Tina Fey's parents. Count me as one of those humor and comedy junkies (and I do possess a wickedly bizarre sense of humor. It takes a lot to impress me...how pompous I know) who finds the Palin/Bush shots to be utterly boring and cheap. For God sakes, there's plenty of material with this bunch in power right now. Fey could, for example, now turn her sites on Nancy Pelosi.

Fey's parents (life long Republicans) said it best when by the 5th and 6th sketch of Palin took place they told their daughter (and I loosely quote), "the first four were funny but enough already."

Absolutely.

Enough already.

Got that David Letterman?
