When this happened I was embarrassed to be from Montreal. It was a shameful display of arrogance and ignorance what they did to an American hockey team made up of Pee-Wee kids.
They got all political trying to voice their opposition of America's invasion of Iraq. All they showed was how insipidly rude they were. What did you expect when your own politicians in the Liberal government were acting like a bunch of clowns with their unrestrained anti-American comments?
I didn't realize a movie was made of it - until I watched it today. Sticks and Stones is the story of a kid who wanted to make things right during a Friendship Tournament.
It was enough of a disgraceful episode in our past to be made into a movie.
