I must admit that Mme Mallick is very adept at hyperboles...but there is a little something right in what she writes. I'm worried about the future under the religious right and the Albertan values.
I have friends in Alberta. While it's true they espouse right-wing ideas, I think the religious thing, probably like in the States, is overstated. I'm not worried. Before you know it, the Liberals will be reinvented and it will shift into another direction.
The majority of us aren't religious nuts so their power, safe a coup d'etat, will be limited.
