Loose Lips With Nazism, Taking Money And Cash For Clunkers

Have you heard about the recent uproar regarding Nancy Pelosi? She disappointed me. She ought to know better. And why isn't there an SNL character for her? Seriously. Palin and Pelosi aren't that different when you think about.

By the way, here's an interesting article about her father.

What's going on in American polity? How can American politicians stand up and charge each other and citizens of being "Nazis" the minute they disagree with one another?

Whatever. Are these people insane or just plain ignorant? Both? It's time this sort of destructive language (and it happens in Canada too) be tackled straight on. In our institutions of higher learning, in important intellectual magazines and in Congress and Parliament. It must END.

Few of these people are upholding the ideals, traditions and wisdom of their Founding Fathers. The actions of the Democrats and Republicans (in recent years) run less in line with these men of genius who bestowed upon them a great Republic to be molded in a new way never seen before and more with static European socialism.

I love this line by the President and Democrats, "we're putting money back in the hands of people."

I ask:

Why take it in the first place?

Cash for clunkers: I'm betting it'll go something like this. You get $4500. But the "unintended consequences and costs" (administrative costs, scamming for example) may cost people higher. So in effect, what you do is give in a car to save the environment but it will cost you money to do it. I'm curious to see how this plays out. I hope I'm wrong.

This is just a Canadian assumption because we see this all the time here.
