Words That Should Raise Red Flag...And Eyebrow

Investment.

As in the government saying things like "investing in our future" to support or sell a specious program. Or a businessman using tax dollars to build himself a babelle stadium.

Investing demands a concrete return on your money. Investors scrutinize their investments so as to gauge progress. For example, if the investment begins to go awry, they have the option of cutting their losses.

You can't cut your losses when the government fucks up a program (remember when I warned that the Super Hospital would be a super mess? Yeah well, it's bad and it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. In the end, the hospital will be 'functional' but nowhere near as intended nor as efficient) or a stadium falls apart.

My father, a businessman, used to say "the government is not your friend. Don't fuck with it because it'll fuck you worse. Pay your taxes and shut up."

I used to think he was 'crazy' when he would say this. Now that I'm older and see things from the perspective of a business, I can see the crazy old man was actually wise. He was only deemed to be a nut by the progressive narrative. Only today we're called 'extremists.'

Yeah, there's nothing extreme in forking over 50% of your income to the government. I ask, what rational person would 'invest' their money with a partner who has all the cards stacked in their favor?
