Super Spreading A Lie

The prevailing belief in Quebec is that the measures have worked having avoided a '3rd wave'. However, there are plenty of examples that challenge this tenuous assertion. Public officials like Dr. Sarah-Amelie Mercure fall into this category.

First among them is the fact we have control groups in Florida, Texas, Sweden and other places that have not instituted any of these measures and in fact remained open. Cases and infections dropped.

Masks and curfews are measures not rooted in facts and science. Period. They are NON-PHARMACEUTICAL measures. I understand the argument that the combination of measures work in tandem to make a difference but we have no proof of this. We do have ample growing literature, however, that shows it's actually counter-productive and pernicious on people''s lives.

The playbook is closer to Bill Gates and less about actual science.

Quebec is simply blindly following dictums for higher powers. Or maybe not?

We're mixing up causation and correlation left, right and centre without any thoughtful consideration.

We're over thinking, over managing and over engineering the response driven by fear.

It remains to be seen what the unintended consequences will be.

Second, we're seeing through protests and events in the United States curfew (Quebec is the only place in North America with a curfew and it would be rather easy to prove if it has any effect by simply comparing it to all jurisdictions on the continent. I bet it will have had little to no effect) that large gatherings are 'super spreader' events. The problem with this are two-fold. It pretends this virus is not endemic and assumes it's not a low-prevalent environment. It invites confusing causation and correlation.

We've seen multiple large gathering events from BLM riots and the Sturgis motorcycle rally (where as many as 250 000 descended on South Dakota) in 2020 to 40 000 maskless people at baseball games in Texas, 25 000 at the Super Bowl, spring break in Florida, UFC events in arenas, and most recent  73 000 people gathering at At & T Stadium to watch a boxing match. All without masks no passports.

Where was the super spreading event we were all promised?

Did we not see a major study from Wuhan looking at 10 million people and not a case of asymptomatic spread was found?

Closer to home, Quebec has had repeated protests usually in the range of 10 000-20 000 people. The most recent protest was on May 1 where the crowd was estimated at between 75 000 and 100 000.

Mostly maskless.

It's 10 days later and cases keep dropping.

This puts a dent in the notion curfews and masks work.

It's a theatrical charade without any scientific proof. And time will prove this assertion right I believe.

Quebec has dug in its heels. The mentality here is stop life and we can stop a virus. Worry about the consequences later.

This is not enlightened thinking. It's panic by other means.

It's a terrible precedence and I'm not sure how science and facts will recover from all this to at least attempt to show this was not an appropriate response. Science is so dogmatic, political and even corrupted it's hard to believe it gained trust from the public.

It's not likely gonna end the way they think it will. The medical class have no problem with measures as needed but the public - normies as some are called - thinking the government will keep to their word are fooling themselves. Either you extricate yourself from the grip of medical tyranny (ie Texas and Florida and others) or you are slaves to it.

  1. My last paycheck was $2500 for working 12 hours a week online. My sisters friend has been averaging 8k for months now and she works about 30 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out. The potential with this is endless.

    This is what I do
