An explosion tore Berchicci's. Foul play is suspected. Not surprising seeing this a part of town known for mobster activity. I still can't believe this crap still happens in the streets of Montreal. I was talking to an importer in Toronto and that sort of stuff is all but gone in Canada's biggest and richest city.
I was just there last week stocking up on D.O.P sauces and olive oil, provolone, olives, espresso and a bunch of other items directly imported from the mother country. It's a shame. Hope it comes back soon enough.
