Rip Them Nuts

Why doesn't Charles Bronson have a site dedicated to him?

  1. Why is it that in movies, the bad guy nevers blocks and their hands go out to the sides defenselessly?

This is more like what bad guys are like in the real world.

  2. 'Why is that in the movies?'

    I hope that's a rhetorical question.

  3. No no no, I said "Why is it that in movies..." not "Why is that in movies?" I don't care if the guy is gonna grab another guy in the crotch, but show the guy getting grabbed doing what anyone would do, which is grab the attacker's hand or punch him in the face?

I guess I'm just really critical of cinematic fighting. I thought the fights in "Rocky" for instance were completely cartoonish. Not that "The Matrix" is any better, mind you.

I think the movie "Bronson" did a decent job, though. It has nothing to do with the actor (except that his fight promoter told him to use that name over Charlton Heston for around the time thet "Death Wish" was out.

  4. Those Rocky fights were unrealistic. How hard could it have been to make them look real? If 'Raging Bull' could do it, then why not them?

  5. Charles Bronson. I liked him way better than Clint, but they were the two superstars of the age.

Death Wish II was a fav of mine. Murphy's Law was another one I liked and probably watched too many times.

  6. You're the first person I've heard say they liked Bronson over Clint.

    I thought you'd say Chuck.

They don't play enough Bronson reruns on the classic film channel. I think a couple of years back there was a Bronson marathon.
