Actually, Bret, 11/11/11 refers to the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918 when the armistice took effect that ended World War One.
Also, and T.C. may know this, but the armistice was signed at 5AM that day, but they wanted to wait have it take effect so they could have the historic 11/11/11. The lives of the soldiers on both sides didn't matter to them. What are the deaths of a few more pawns, after all.
