University Of Colorado Professors Tip Romney

From the Denver Post:

"...According to the updated analysis, Romney would get 330 Electoral College votes to Obama’s 208 votes, even less than the 218 the pair predicted during the summer and still well short of the 270 needed to win. Again, it’s a huge disconnect from national punditry which still shows an easy Obama victory (though experts say new polling will have to gauge the effect of Romney’s success during Wednesday’s debate)..."

Racists.

We'll see. Wouldn't surprise me if Romney wins. Back in 2004, the consensus had Kerry. Even my friend in foreign affairs confidently concluded that.

Just gonna apply, like I did then, my experience in sports. That is, it happens enough where one team is given absolutely no chance of beating its opponent. Think the Giants a couple of years back against the 16-0 Patriots.

Maybe this is at play here.

The economy, and how it is perceived, is what makes or breaks elections.

As for the 7.8% figure. Yeah, it looks suspicious knocking off .3 from 8.1% like that but it's a coincidence. There was no "cooking."

Let it stand on its own. 7.8% isn't very good, the numbers that came in were weak.

So. What do you do when your "guy" takes a beating in a debate? That he's so exposed there is no way to explain it?

Not this for sure.

For starters, call the other guy a liar.

There.

Standard procedure to "skew" the truth. So it's moot.

Next, pick away at all the little things in the debate your opponent said and blow it up. The 47% comment doesn't count because that's "true."

Hence, the explosion of "Big Bird" comments and articles. As if the world were to end.

Now, apparently, Romney upset Spain.

Huffington comes up with this gem: Mitt Romney Spain quip adds to foreign policy troubles.

Um, who's the effen incumbent again?

I think in the natural order of things, Obama's foreign policy problems come first, no?

Consider, just saying, articles and politicians critical of the U.S. are printed every single day in the EU.

In any event, notice how liberals refuse to discuss the REAL foreign policy disasters confronting the United States: The Middle-East and the cover up (with its Blame First strategy, and Mexico with Fast & Furious which news organizations like Univision aren't ignoring.

Yes. Romney and Big Bird are the problem. /rolls eyes.

For the record, yes, the housing/construction bubble hurt Spain as the article indicates but that's just a small part of the picture. Up until that point its spending was less than even Germany, but the fact remains, it IS spending right now that's killing Spain. It can't devalue its currency and will continue to having rising expenditures moving forward.

He wasn't that wrong. Although I don't know why he didn't settle on Greece as a punching bag.

SPENDING is the problem in the West.

I watched SNL this past week-end. I notice Liberals are clinging on to the portrayal of Romney as a liar. But the show pretty much spoofed the left more - Maddow and Matthews in particular.

Not to be outmatched.

Chopra in The Daily Beast:

"Most of that didn’t happen. As it stands, Obama by no means holds a losing hand. He was on the verge of making this a breakout election, and if the race tightens because the president debated with integrity and allowed Romney to become more human, that strikes me as fair. There’s still plenty of time to call Romney on his whoppers. The PACs and super PACs will keep drilling the 47 percent theme. Romney landed no decisive blows. Instant analysis of Twitter didn’t indicate that voters were being swayed. The main topic of conversation, and the only big trend, was Big Bird. The progress that Obama has made over the last six months should be enough for him to win—and win the right way. The candidate who inspires hope, trust, compassion, and stability, and who outlines specific action steps to achieve his goals deserves to win."

Got that?

There.

Right.

Another one at Politico via Reason.

You know, you can find all the positives in a football team you want in trying to beat the line.

But.

If your QB sucks...
