I have a friend of a friend who knows Lebanon-Syria-Israel well and was explaining how the rebels were disappointed the Americans and NATO were on the sidelines not supporting them.
As for Israel, he said (he works in the military in Syria or something), Israel never behaves this way towards Arabs as Assad has. It's an atrocity of the highest order.
