Was reading about the Gov. of New York Andrew Cuomo is raising the minimum wage to $15 /hr (love how they arbitrarily selected the number 15. Musta sounded nice to the derp who came up with it) for public workers in his state.
But here's the thing. If this magical wage hike is theoretically meant to immediately increase aggregate demand thus ushering in instant job growth why the five year delay? After all, us small businesses are immoral for paying less than what they think is a 'living wage'.
Reminds me of the wholeclimate system change Gaia freak-out session. If the situation is so dire and in need of immediate action, why are targets always set for many years down the road?
