At this point I'd like to laugh but I find it unnerving and distressing one man has this kind of power at the moment.
Legault has plunged this province into chaos. He just doesn't know it. But this is just part of being in a Dark Age as I've been discussing on this blog for at least 10 years now. We ARE living in a Dark Age.
There is no enlightenment. It's extinguished. There is no commitment to intellectual or scientific rigour. Just appeals to emotion and authority. We have our beacons of light and here and there, as did the Dark Ages, but the zeitgeist is one where superstition prevails.
Amulets one era. Masks the other.
So Frank thinks a ridiculous 8pm curfew is now needed.
And already people accept it. 'Well, I go to bed early anyway' and one that's beginning to creep in more and more as you dare to question these futile measures: What would you do?
It's an unfair tu quotque. I can but exercise my thoughts, opinions and criticisms as a free citizen.
Of course, he couldn't demonstrate how this would work. Why would he? He's the King of Do Something at this point.
Here's what's unfolded while the children slept in low RPM:
Quasi-lockdown.
Masks.
Non-Essential purchases.
Curfews.
There's the check list of stupid and failed measures. People just accept it. Maybe it's all those years of watching 'Caillou' that turned them into weak mush. Curfews and lockdowns only ensures people get funnelled into limited place even more thus leading to more cases and/or spread.
Something, something unintended consequences.
But we're not doing those hard enough. Now the geek epidemiologists - who are enjoying their time in the sun a tad too much if you ask me - say we must 'circuit break' life.
But it's see? It's "only" for four weeks.
With a roll-over feature. Unfortunately, you can't unsubscribe to it. You must hope Francois Legault releases himself from this bad cycle he's mired in.
The first two have been in place for nearly a year now. They're complete failures. But hey, something, something, harmless right?
They've now added curfews.
It won't last one month. It will go past that.
It hasn't worked in Europe and it hasn't in California.
But Quebec somehow thinks it will work here?
Spare yourselves the suspense. In one month, Legault and the geniuses whispering into his gutless ear will roll it over and the media will mindlessly accept it, if not applaud it asking lame ass questions, as it sells the mildness propaganda to the masses gripped by Stockholm Syndrome.
So Quebec does what it does best, copy bad ideas.
The question now becomes what happens when and if this new decree fails? What happen if the vaccines don't have an impact - as it's already being suggested from the Ordres des Medecins and the W.H.O..
What's the next logical step? Step back and concede the measures don't work and release us from the grips of failed measures and hysteria?
Of course not.
They will continue. Yukon Ho!
Always remember. As long as there's one group to scapegoat you're always at war with Eastasia.
This won't stop. Already in the UK Imperial College is once again spreading fear and panic with lies. Kids spread it 7-9 times faster!
This won't stop.
It only stops when people stop living in fear.
Since Quebec is copying other places, the concern is it goes New York's route.
And that's taking you to a very bad place. New York has on the table in the legislature a proposal to intern people or groups they deem to be contagious. So. What's going on there is a little like how we interned Japanese, Italian and German North Americans. They were deemed 'enemy aliens' and thus a 'threat'. Here, if you're a carrier of the contagion, you're a 'threat' to public health.
If someone tests positive (and we know the PCR tests picks up dead viral fragments) even though you may not actually be a threat, you're going to camp. And you ain't leaving if you test negative, bro.
And then, with Mother Nature having a twisted sense of humour much like God, once released into the wild by public health authorities, you will actually fall sick and your internment was for naught.
Get what I'm getting at here? You lost your liberty for no reason other than the illusion of security.
The other concern is the continued possibility of mandatory vaccines - or mandates by other means as in 'vaccination papers'. The New York Bar Association is pushing this hard. Gee, can it be because they possibly see a money maker for their services?
People have already consented to 'benign' measures. Social distancing which has become emotional distancing. Masks which have been vaulted into a status of absolute necessity defying all logic and science. Quasi-Lockdowns which have
Combined, these measures have rendered little. If this was a stock, you're market value is below your book value. Stated otherwise, the cure is worse than the disease. This should be obvious to any sane, sober and stoic mind.
Until Legault is made to answer for PCR testing, the case rise problem will continue. And with it, bad policies.
None of his measures have worked. And they will likely continue to fail.
Insanity is repeating the same thing over and over.
And over.
By that point, the virus will have done its thing regardless of the measures and all we'll be left with are cheap bios of politicians recounting how great they were and this lousy 'I'm with stupid' t-shirts.
Here's what I see. In one hundred years, these past 50 years will not be looked upon kindly by chroniclers of history. It will be the period where superstition triumphed over reason and science. Specifically to this episode, it will be seen as one of the great medical over reaction if not hysteria in history.
Little Timmy reading about it will ask what we asked when we read about the Middle-Ages: How could we be so foolish or stupid?
Plus ca change....
