Dr. Scott Atlas was an excellent pick by Trump.
He wasn't "just" a radiologist as people dismissively said.
He was an expert in public health policy and how those policies impacted public life.
He was the perfect man for the job.
Far more abled than Fauci who is a myopic technocrat.
But people flocked to Fauci less on his credentials, although that played a part, and more based on their irrational hate of Trump.
The logical pretzel equation went something like, 'Trump stoopid, ergo Fauci good'. The problem with this is, well, it's first based on a logical assumption and error and it secondarily leads to an inability to critically assess Fauci's performance.
Which has been an abysmal failure to anyone with clarity.
Yes, listen to the experts. But the ones who stay in their lane. A virologist that goes on TV to talk about masks isn't a PPE expert. Epidemiologists who scream for more lockdowns, aren't aware of the economic damage caused by their specious claims. The more dishonest among them will actually seek literature to discredit the overwhelming evidence building proving the disaster lockdowns cause. One infectious disease doctor here in Montreal tried to argue suicides weren't on the rise. It was a shocking thing for a doctor to say because it showed he was looking at this through a one-dimensional prism.
Suicide statistics are indeed unclear at the moment but in some places have gone up. But his attempt to deflect ignored suicidal thoughts among people who would otherwise avoid these thoughts in a normal human environment.
As a result of this idolatry on display for Fauci, Atlas was chased out by people with pitchforks and torches.
