The
Leaning Tower of Pisa was built between 1173-1350. The fricken thing has been around for 660 years. For all of those years, I presume (or at least in the 20th century), it was open to the public except for one in 1990. The year I happened to be in Pisa. Soon after I was gone, it was reopened and that way it stayed.
Reminds me of that time I went to Disneyland and the Pirates of the Caribbean ride was closed.
ReplyDeleteI've really got to travel outside the borders of the U.S. sometime.
