Why Are Parents Letting Legault And Ford Threaten The Health Of Their Children With Masks

Parents google everything and anything under the sun when it comes to their kids. They're constantly questioning any decision or move that remotely can be construed as potentially harming their kids.

Yet, somehow they've remained silent on masks.

How could they not be better informed? Why are they just taking at face value what the authorities say about masks?

The science and data on masks are already dubious at best. While it's not likely they will have any meaningful impact on anything, we're already seeing a measurable result through rising cases.

Notably, if masks work, there should not be an increase in cases. As I've shown in a previous post comparing states and provinces and their mandates, in the majority of those, cases have gone up. In states and provinces without them, cases have dropped. 

Now New Brunswick, despite excessively low numbers, are hopping on the 'just in case' hyper-over drive band wagon.

Thankfully not all parents are projecting their fears onto their kids.

It's one thing to demand the adult population to engage in superstition - and wearing masks are superstitious. There's nothing more pathetic and sad than watching a man between the age of, say, 25-55 wearing a mask outside while alone and with no one around them.

If you wanted to know who the NPC are, the masks show you.

But it's quite another when we assault the kids with it. We're not protecting children. Children pose little to no danger to the community at large while are largely healthy enough to deal with Covid. Influenza remains the bigger threat to children. 

We're sacrificing the well-being of children because decades of mismanagement of the health system has left it so fragile it can barely take the heat according to officials. 

A more pernicious act by government I can't think of.

It wasn't enough that Canadian public officials have destroyed the Canadian economy for the foreseeable future. They think throwing money at us will 'help us through' a carnage and devastation THEY created.

Not Covid.

Trudeau, Legault and Ford had choices and they managed to choose the wrong ones. They managed to under protect the nursing homes, over protect the healthy while causing mayhem to the social and economic order.

I have no sympathy when people say, 'They're in a tough spot'.

They are but right now, they're refusing to pivot and stay clear of draconian measures that are only intensifying. 

There are reports of private police breaking up lawful protests, quarantine camps being built, an of course the mask mandates.

People. When are you going to wake up? It's not 'just a mask'.

It runs deep on so many levels. Even temporarily this can have long-term effects on people.

Not being able to see facial expressions is just about the most anti-human thing we're experiencing at the moment.

For how long are people willing to play a part in this charade? Until there's a vaccine? 

The utter lack of leadership here is disheartening as it is appalling.

I don't consider these men to be honourable for what they're doing to a nation for a virus with a 99.8% survival rate. They have no excuse if they've not come across the warnings and heeds of the finest and most decorated doctors on the planet. I've not seen a top doctor support any of these measures.

Here's another. neurologist Dr. Margareta Griesz-Brisson:

How can a veterinarian, a software distributor, a businessman, an electrical car manufacturer and a physicist decide on matters regarding the health of the entire population? Please, dear colleagues, we all have to wake up. 

I know how damaging oxygen deprivation is for the brain, cardiologists know how damaging it is for the heart, pulmonologists know how damaging it is for the lungs. Oxygen deprivation damages every single organ. 

Where are our health departments, our health insurance, our medical associations? It would have been their duty to be vehemently against the lockdown and to stop it and stop it from the very beginning. 

Why do the medical boards issue punishments to doctors who give people exemptions? Does the person or the doctor seriously have to prove that oxygen deprivation harms people? What kind of medicine are our doctors and medical associations representing? 

Who is responsible for this crime? The ones who want to enforce it? The ones who let it happen and play along, or the ones who don't prevent it? 

It's not about masks, it's not about viruses, it's certainly not about your health. It is about much much more. I am not participating. I am not afraid. 

You can notice, they are already taking our air to breathe. The imperative of the hour is personal responsibility. We are responsible for what we think, not the media. We are responsible for what we do, not our superiors. We are responsible for our health, not the World Health Organisation. And we are responsible for what happens in our country, not the government."

Here are Ontario physicians with children also voicing their concerns.

"....The medical and statistical truth is that the young are not at risk from COVID-19. Compared to other common respiratory infections like influenza, COVID-19 is less deadly and less likely to result in hospitalization for those under age 30. For example, influenza claimed the lives of 10 children in Canada under the age of 10 during the 2018-19 flu season. In comparison, COVID-19 has been associated with two deaths under the age of 20 and nine deaths among those between 20 and 29. Further, it’s not clear how many of those deaths were due to COVID, rather than due to another cause with COVID as an incidental finding. In fact, the risk of dying of COVID for the young is hundreds of times less than dying of other things, an event which is, mercifully, already rare."

"....Outdoor places are closed if the young are seen congregating too much, even though these are the places least likely to be associated with disease spread. The costs of restriction are higher, and will last longer, for this group. If anxiety and depression was high already, increased isolation, lack of supports and economic distress will increase it further.

In Canada, around 80% of COVID-19 deaths have occurred in nursing homes. The argument to impose restrictions on the young is that if they become infected, the infections will inevitably percolate to the elderly, causing deaths. However, it is not because a 20-year-old university student goes to a seminar with 20 classmates that her grandmother will be infected. There are many opportunities to avoid this, by improving care in nursing homes, ensuring people avoid visiting the elderly when sick, and ensuring that those caring for them have sufficient security that they are not incentivized to come to work while ill."

Lemme me be blunt. Will you listen to her? Or to these politicians who aren't doctors? Where are they getting their information from?

These are questions we must ask of politicians. Who exactly is giving them this awful advice?

And why aren't they examining the results? It's just one questionable measure after another dubious one.

A potentially disgraceful harmful effect is about to happen and who will be held accountable?
