The local bike shop in the town where my business is split for the city where I live 10 minutes across the river.
His shop is on the main road I use everyday. I noticed his bikes were set up nicely outside. Something he wasn't allowed to do previously because of a frivolous bylaw.
The municipality hounded him until he had enough and left.
Rosemere's loss is Laval's gain.
It's such a terrible way to run a town. Bureaucrats shouldn't prevail above a small-business especially when the decisions they undertake affect the business.
Vote the party out you say? Here's the rub. It's a small, sleepy town. Residential voters don't care. They don't care because they are unaware of the havoc such laws wreak on a local economy.
Rather than just let a man earn a living, employ and pay his taxes in peace, chosen is a route that benefits no one in the end including the owner of the property that now has to rent out the place.
