Don't, please....I am still trying to figure out the appeal of Rap... idol worship is too much for my brain to understand.
ReplyDeleteWhat I always found interesting is how hip-hop is portrayed as uber-cool while frowning on other styles of music. You always see the white guy trying to look cool rapping but you'll never see a black guy strumming to Johnny Cash in the movies because country western is seen as hillbilly. Just a perception.
ReplyDeletePersonally, cool to me was Dean Martin. Jazz musicians were cool. But I'm old fashioned that way.
Of idols, Francis Bacon spoke of the 'idols of the markets.' Come to think of it, while I've posted them in the past, maybe I'll repost.
