When people were killed as a result of crumbling infrastructure, that was the cue for Montreal to get serious about upgrading our bridges and roads.
Alas, this has not happened. We have less money as we wallow in debt and have a massive corruption issue that continues unabated.
We're still getting cues...Yet...
This is how great metropolises fall- through corruption and taxes.
Not because of "runaway capitalism" and free enterprise.
I'm pretty sure this is closer to the truth in Detroit as well.
Sigh...intellectual masters still pump and pimp tired old cliches.
Smart, good-intentioned people escape madness. Always remember that.
