Thank You For Not Breeding

I was pointed towards an interesting, if not downright weird to mainstreamers, website "The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement" from a commenter/blogger named "Douglas."

Which led me to a neat, short film by Nina Paley titled 'Thank you for not breeding.'

  1. I was attracted to this concept because I long ago began seeing human beings as a parasitic life form. And because I also see humans as being too stupid to understand that eliminating all (or even most) natural restrictions on human expansion (plagues, wars, normal human disease and other things contributing to shorter life spans) as counter-productive to species long term survival. I am also in favor of eliminating all pollution control and regulation since it, too, just delays the inevitable.

I don't join movements but I may change my mind for this one.

  2. What kick started all this was the eugenics movement. Eugenics is not about ridding people. It's about social engineering. Preserving one race at the expense of another. That's what I hate about it.

The Church of Eugenics may be fighting the good fight but I wonder if they're misusing the term.

That being said, I tend to agree we're a selfish bunch.
