Is it me or are there way too many people getting their hands on it?
I don't know. Call it sour grapes or being overly critical, but this thing that average people getting the honor of carrying the torch for a lousy 300 meters doesn't strike me as interesting or proper. I've been hearing how companies pay to get the torch. Nice. That's all we need more bank managers and executives hogging a moment of glory at the expense of say, up and coming amateur athletes. Maybe then we can have ONE athlete run with it for one kilometer or something like that.
For me, the Olympic torch should be reserved for athletes. Let me expand, world class athletes; past and present. I don't mind the odd "feel good" personality; a person with a disability and so on, and that's about it.
So yeah, excuse me if I don't share in on the torch festivities.

My cousin owns a brasserie/bar. In that bar, there are poker video machines. To anyone who knows how this racket works, gambling generates a killing. Ever wonder how certain bars are always empty but remain open? You got it - they have video machines.
And the government, the bureaucrats who control the Casino and alcohol through the SAQ, knows this.
In all its greed, they
So bad is their appetite for looting money, they literally go into my cousin's bank account and grab the money.
Try and tell me A) the government cares about people and B) it's not an organized mafia.
I know. One week from Christmas and I'm writing about this.
But Jesus would want me to stay true to myself, no?
