Detroit Plane Terror Attack

This is such bull shit.

On why Obama hasn't responded yet the terror attack on a Detroit plane:

Here's the strategy: "Let the authorities do their work. Don't presume; don't panic the country; don't chest-thump, prejudge, interfere, politicize (in an international sense), don't give Al Qaeda (or whomever) a symbolic victory; resist the urge to open the old playbook and run a familiar play."

"In a sense, he is projecting his calm on the American people, just as his advisers are convinced that the Bush Administration projected their panic and anger on the self-same public eight years ago."

Is this guy for real? Soon after 9/11, Bush was lauded for his statesmanship and handling in the face of a horrific terror attack. He didn't instill fear or panic. I seem to recall many people and pundits alike appreciating his stance. He was clear at every turn to remind people to not attack Muslims - as if Americans needed that reminder. I think this person is confusing his decision to go into Iraq a couple of years later.

Perhaps Obama is acting "wisely," but this administration's insistence on avoiding the word "terror" is no better. Describing it as an "attack on a plane" is dumb. The person didn't attack a plane. His goal was to kill people. Saying he was "incompetent" and therefore we shouldn't worry isn't a proper response either. They can afford to miss nine out of ten times. We can't.

And how did that guy, without a passport, even get on a damn plane from Amsterdam anyway?

Follow the demographics, logic and yes, profile. Ye therein, shall find many answers. But we don't want to do that. Soon after 9/11 I hopped on a plane and was asked to remove my shoes and blah, blah. No big deal. What was odd to me was the old man with white hair who could barely walk and talk being shaken down. That's when I saw political correctness lose its mind right before my eyes.

Shit, we know who the players are. And most, if not all, are Muslim of any nationality, very well educated, Westernized and come from middle to upper class backgrounds. Focus on that and don't feel guilty about it.

Being liberal or conservative has nothing to do with it. Common sense does and I think most citizens are on this matter.
