Cripes, all this time I've been railing against the Peter Principle gone awry?
Aw man, don't get me going. It baffles and boggles my mind to the point of bewilderment how people possessing limited leadership, intellectual and overall social skills keep getting promoted.
In my narrow interpretation, it seems a worker gets rewarded for knowing how to play the game politically. Actual competence and merit is sometimes overlooked.
The bank and investment world is infested with this shit.
It takes a very self confident leader to surround him or herself with strong and competent people. Not many around these days.
