Everything they say is wrong.
Sante Publique, Francois Legault and Dr. Arruda are managing to pick the worst part of this mild epidemic and form schemes and policies around it. The strange thing about Legault is in April he was saying all the right things. And then....poof. I don't know what happened.
Since then, they've been mired in a panic-reaction mode.
They're destroying not just our economy but the morale of people as well. We're under estimating the potential negative fall outs of masks.
It's been a position for experts that the main driver of transmission is AEROSOLS and not droplets and asymptomatic spread (which was always rare).
Pay no attention to the persons advice. They're just more of the non-evidence based measures having no real impact on the virus. I don't get it. I guess they think these measures are innocuous enough to give it a shot but I counter peddling bad science of any kind leads to bad policies and a misinformed public.
Yet, Quebec continues to promulgate these two theories despite places like Sweden proving otherwise.
It may very well be an aerosol transmission. That's why it spreads so fast.
If it's aerosol, then that explains why masks don't work because the premise to wearing one is DROPLETS which isn't the main driver. And we have 100 years of studies to back this up. It makes sense because when mandates are put in, infection rates rise. The virus is a vapor in the air. NO MASK CAN STOP THAT.
We MUST PIVOT. The situation is critical because the Quebec government is teetering on once again pummelling the economy based on discredited strategies.
So let's recap. Droplets and asymptomatic spread is rare. Kid spreading is rare. Yet we base our policies on both.
Aerosols are the key and then we wonder why cases rise.
Sweden was 100% right all along. If it's aerosol transmission there's nothing you can except let it run its course.
Sweden is into their third week of no cases.
