This is fear-mongering of the worst kind. And don't expect media to contextualize it for you. They're too busy publishing pseudo-scientific studies about how people who don't buy into the pseudo-science of masks as 'sociopaths'.

Except sociopaths want to hide they lack empathy and tend to one to blend into the masses.

A change of history curriculum here, a destroying of statue there, an uprooting of social mores here, getting the media as useful idiots there and so on.

Eventually the Constitution will just melt away. And poof and paf! Hope, change and transformation.

Large gatherings have the potential to spark larger outbreaks, which is why there are limits on gathering size. Once an outbreak takes hold in a community, it’s difficult to prevent the disease from spreading through schools, nursing homes, and other locations where people are gathered in close quarters.

But public health responses to the pandemic, from mask requirements to limits on large gatherings, are becoming increasingly politicized, public health officials told Montana Free Press.

The politicization of the pandemic has created strife for health officials across Montana. In addition to Van Duynhoven’s dismissal, public health officials in Powell, Carter and Ravalli counties have resigned after receiving political pushback. In Big Horn County, the health officer’s mask requirement was challenged by the county attorney, Jay Harris. In Cascade County, a judge criticized county officials for a “cavalier” attitude toward the virus that led to a large outbreak at the jail in Great Falls.

Drenda Niemann, Lewis and Clark County Health Officer and chair of AMPHO, said Bullock’s delegation of decision-making creates a challenge for county health officials. Niemann said local control can be beneficial, but a lack of cohesive direction from the state and federal governments makes it difficult to know whether recommendations are based on public health best practices or political calculation.

“It makes it hard on a local public health department,” Niemann said. “Public opinion is not how we make decisions. We make decisions based on good public health processes and science.”

You mean like when doctors said, 'social justice, before social distance?'  You mean that kind of science? The one where it was 'racist' to shut down air travel from China? Or the 'science' of lockdowns and masks? 

It's not the people who politicized this. It's public officials including health doctors who did with their insidious two-tier and incomprehensible and incoherent measures who did. 

More frighteningly, is the idea of turning asymptomatic people (who do NOT spread the disease as claimed and are NOT a threat) over to the police is beyond the pale and disgusting. What's next? Psyche wards?

Dr. Arruda was in this ball mark when he made the stupid retarded claim they would be responsible for the death of others if they don't wear a mask.

What we have here is a Bizarro world situation where the public officials are not following science and a small segment of the population is and we're powerless and have been turned into criminals.

Health officials aren’t following the science. They’re simply pushing a hard precautionary principle. If they followed the science, they’d pivot and pull back a little. Instead, you still hear them push two measures that NEVER were rooted in science: Lockdowns and masks.

I have little trust in them.

Study claims people who don't wear masks are sociopaths. Or at least exhibit traits of sociopathy. Who are we kidding, the point of the article is give the impression we're sociopaths.

In addition to this being a false dichotomy (it suggests there aren't other reasons to oppose masks other than the stated assertion), it also crosses into an ad hominem (a person who may have a valid reason to oppose masks is a sociopath).

Not kind, nor necessary. Or scientific.

Sociopaths lack empathy. However, they're functional enough to be aware they lack human emotion. So with this in mind, they're more likely to submit and wear the masks in order to blend in so as to not draw attention to themselves.

The study is bunk anyway.

Like masks.

In any event, all this is besides the point. The reality is no one has to explain themselves to anyone and in doing so, should be spared sophomoric public shaming (bullying) be it in the form media article or verbal abuse.
