Europeans Must Stop Articles 11 And 13

The so-called 'copyright laws' being pushed by an ever-increasing totalitarian EU comes with far more dangerous consequences.

Europe for once needs to push back at their EU masters and defeat this awful proposal.

How deep runs the arrogance of the European Parliament? They ignored the experts on the subject.

Funny how that works. Politicians follow blindly the 'consensus' on climate change but ignore those who defend rights on the internet.

Sounds like they pick and choose their experts to fit their agenda, no?

In a vote today, 20 June, the Legal Affairs Committee of the European Parliament voted for  a Copyright Directive, which includes measures to monitor and filter virtually all uploads to the internet.
The Copyright Directive includes the controversial Article 13, which mandates the mass monitoring and censorship of internet uploads. The vote comes after widespread criticism of these measures and against the advice of civil society, of leading academics and universities, of research institutions, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Expression and even the inventors of the internet and of the world wide web.
In the U.S. they did the right thing in killing net neutrality* (hey, wasn't the internet supposed to be shut down by now?), Europeans need to do their part for once where freedom is concerned.
*The ones who did all the hysterical screaming were doing less out of reasoned concern and more by the fact it was the Trump administration that did it. Just like they're over reacting with the immigration and separation of kids at the border. It's a law that's been going on for years including under Obama. Again, less out of concern for the kids and more to stick to Trump.
