I don't get politicians who complain when they inherit a bad economy. They don't complain if they inherit a good one though. Of course.
According to Obama and Democrats, it's a fait accompli they inherited a recession caused by the Bush administration. The only problem with this argument is Bush too said he inherited a recession.
Have you heard of the new Goerge W. Bush value menu deal at McDonalds? You order whatever you want, and the guy in line after you gets the bill.
ReplyDelete*rimshot*
Yeah, as if he's the only leader in the Western world who did that.
ReplyDeleteThe deferred payment plan argument is used up here a lot too.
... that's your answer? That's your response to Bush inheriting a udget surplus from Clinton and leaving us trillions in debt... seriously?
ReplyDeleteA simple "Republicans are financially irresponsible and are by no means actual conservatives" would have sufficed. I understand the unescapable urge to criticize a black man... but maybe you could concede certain realities.
Reagan did the same thing to the first Bush, and Bush had to raise taxes (despite what we read on his lips...). It is a reality: 8 years of Republican budgets results in the next president (regardless of his party) being forced to increase revenues in order to compensate for the spending spree (usually a result of corporate welfare).
I think you're missing the overall point of my post: Everyone feels they've been left a mess.
ReplyDeleteI've criticized Obama for it and am merely showing Bush did it too.
They don't, and have said in the past, espouse conservative fiscal values - much like up here.
And stop being a cocky presumptuous race baiting dick. Where did I ever, and you prove it to me right now, show I criticize because he's black? I question where I feel questioning is warranted whatever race, creed or party.
I think I've been more than fait and I've noticed people who are set in their political views and political ideology consistently misconstrue my overall points.
Especially touchy socialists.
"more than fair."
ReplyDeleteUm... W didn't complain about the situation he inherited. Nor did Clinton, or Reagan. These presidents didn't inherit horrible situations like Poppa Bush and Obama have. Oddly, between the two, the elder Bush handled it properly, whereas Obama is half-assing it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't call you a racist, and I certainly didn't write the words you read between the lines. I didn't even seperate you from myself. Don't get hung up on one little word, especially since you personally aren't racist.
If anything, I misspoke. I shouldn't have said "you," but instead "right-wingers" or "conservatives" or "Republicans."
He didn't "complain" but he put it out there. Albeit in a less offensive manner than Obama.
ReplyDeleteAnd all it takes is one little word: I am getting PASTED in my soccer and football pool and for the slightest of margins!
It's making me antsy.
Actually this is a great chance to illustrate the differences betwee success and failure:
ReplyDeleteBush didn't inherit an economic fiasco, but what he did inherit was the Reagan/Clinton Middle East policy which got us attacked. But did Bush sit around complaining about the previous guy? No, he capitalized, and it pisses me off that this economic tragedy will bring about no change because Obama squandered his political capital by waffling for two years, achieving, in the minds of Americans, nothing.
He's done some things, and some of them even corrctly, but he has zero PR and Republicans who oppose him at every turn, versus Democrats bending over backwards under Bush (where was the opposition to the PATRIOT act?).
Interesting last paragraph.
ReplyDeleteHas Obama acheived "nothing?" He did pass Health and Financial reforms - however imperfect.
