Pick your article. It made little sense to me that it took Toyota that long to figure out a problem. Not a company with that kind of reputation.
I became even more suspicious when the U.S. administration began opportunistically involving itself. Looks like opportunism went all-round from stupid drivers looking to make a buck to their lawyers looking to capitalize on the anti-business atmosphere that is gripping America. Obama better be careful because turnabout is fair play for it can happen to GM. Remember them?
As for Obama himself: First, it was the insurance companies, then Toyota, later it was the banks (who so lovingly funded him) and now BP. Let's not get into that whole Skippy Gates and the race issue.
Of course, all under the guise of "fixing" things. If there's one company I'd like to see get its come-uppance it's Monsanto. But I digress.
Forgive me, but I thought he was a "different" kind of leader; one in which he would not whip up hysteria for cheap political points.
