Blackhawks End Drought

I know I'm late with this but count me in as one of those hockey fans happy to see the Chicago Blackhawks finally win its fourth Stanley Cup after waiting 49 years since its last victory. The Black Hawks (back then it was split in two words) of Stan Makita, Pierre Pilote, Tony Esposito and Bobby Hull were a power team back in the 60s and early 70s but could never muster more than the one cup.

Something tells me with the core of this team signed, Chicago may see its first dynasty pass through its fair city since the Bulls. Before that it was the Bears of the 1940s.

Chicago is a great sports city and it's not surprising the revival of the Blackhawks has taken that city by storm. Two million people at the parade? Wow.

And they say Chicago is Bears, Bulls, White Sox and Cubs territory. It always was a great hockey market.

Party on, dude.
