Author Goes Straight To The Source

Not sure what to make of this. I'm actually reading The Miracle of Castel di Sangro by Joe McGinniss. It's a superb tale about like and soccer in the isolated town of Castel di Sangro high up in the mountains of Abruzzo in Italy. Among the best sports books in my, erm, book.

Still, I couldn't but help some discomfort with his latest move. I know he's an investigative reporter but what's his angle here? This Sarah Palin obsession is slowly making some people coo-coo.

Personally, I wouldn't do it but hey...to each his own. That being said, him acting as if this is all normal and shocked by referring to the Palin's as "Nazi's" (so boring) is a bit much. He went looking for trouble. What did he expect the reaction was going to be?
