Didn't liberals tell conservatives "Obama won" get over it? They lost on gun-control. Get over it?
This pro gun control screed in the West Virginia Gazette is reminiscent of those who always preface a statement with a "Not that I'm racist...but there sure are a whole lotta black folk 'round here these day." Just replace that with "I'm not a violent guy but jesus, we need to use government force to put these NRA assholes in their place!"

Where in the NRA manifesto is it written they're preparing to fight or when did Tea Party members ever threaten using weapons against the government? This guy is alluding to the use of violence even going as far as to name weapons. Something I've never heard or read come from the NRA or Tea Party. Unless I missed it of course.
Nor have I read 2nd amendment defenders make a 'call to arms' shout against gun-control advocates.
Their position is, from what I can see, "they have a right to bear arms in the event tyranny arrives."
It's a precautionary measure; one that has been proven time and again in history.
If this is an extreme position to take then I shutter to think what real extremism looks like. I bet you the average NRA member is as grounded, responsible and moderate an individual as any.
