They're Coming After Our Name

Progressives have pretty much expropriated the liberal name.

Nestled away in its own world, minding its business, libertarians may think their good name is safe from such an unsavory invasion.

Ah but we assume wrong in faux comfort.

I want to say something to Ontario who will go to an election. please
do not make the same mistake, do no vote for conservative just like we have done.

you have the chance to elect a left-wing government, a better government, you have a chance we in Quebec do not have, so take it. have some courage.

Courage is the magic that turn dream into reality.
Libertarian communist?
What on God's earth and universe is a fricken libertarian communist?

You can't get more of an oxymoron than that. Clearly, this person is confused and thinks she can say whatever she wants:

I mean, I'm disoriented by this. Irritated even. Now I know how terms get misappropriated. People just take them and attach the label to them. Imagine debating with this winner.
Let's get back to the basics with simple definitions:
Communist:
a theory or system of social organization based on the holding of all property in common, actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state.

( often initial capital letter ) a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
I will add a political theory that relies on violence, coercion and murder.
Don't agree? Don't care. That's what political communism is. It must rely on force for its ideology is incompatible with human nature.
Libertarian:

a person who advocates liberty, especially with regard to thought or conduct.

a person who maintains the doctrine of free will (distinguished from necessitarian ).
"The libertarian or "classical liberal" perspective is that individual well-being, prosperity, and social harmony are fostered by "as much liberty as possible" and "as little government as necessary."
Let me add, it is governed by the 'non-aggression principle' whereby if the state coerces you into an action you do not consent to, it is invalid. Moreover, libertarians accept as a matter of necessity the right of private property as cornerstone for liberty. Now, pray tell, where and how communism can even be connected on a remote level with a libertarian?
Within the libertarian ranks, unlike communism,  there is no consensus on a wide range of issues. As long as the main tenets of its principles are fulfilled, libertarians hold divergent views on social, political and economic issues. It is a free thinking group not easily trapped by group think.

On economic matters alone libertarians hold classical views that would make communists die of fear. It is, the libertarian believes, hinged on free-markets and enterprise.

I can go on and on about how absurd it is for this person to claim to be a libertarian-communist for there is no such thing and libertarians might be wise to nip this in the bud by challenging it at every turn.

Communists are statists.

Libertarians are not.
