Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries.
"How
would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked.
"You couldn't live without a little chocolate, a little French fries."
That makes no sense.
At all.
She's babbling.
In any event, she's become rather insufferable about this eat healthy crusade. She reminds me of someone that just discovered something you've known about for a long time but still makes you feel she knew it before you. "I use olive oil, T.C. What do you use, eh?"
Anyway.
'Splurging is the key to life.'
Yes, we know given the lavish vacation itinerary the last five years.
It makes sense, though, life is full of contradictory things; actions/words are the most obvious. As in the bumper sticker on the Toyota that reads "Buy American."
ReplyDeleteI see what she's saying but I refute it.
DeleteWhat I find ironic if not hypocritical her crusade on cafeteria food in schools doesn't give kids the option to 'enjoy life' or 'splurge' since they only have healthy choices now. From what I read, that comes with a lot of waste. Look, it's a good thing she wants to raise awareness about eating healthy but she's imposing it. It almost comes off as paternalistic nannyism.
What do you mean "almost?" It !is! Paternalistic nannyism... The Left always assumes it knows best. Of course it increases waste, kids would always choose junk food over healthy and Michelle's scheme removes the junk food in favor of "healthy" choices. Give the kids a choice of applesauce and fruit medlies and the waste will be reduced. Though the "healthy" choices would still go to waste. Common sense is not the Left's forte'.
