GI Joe: Most Successful Toy For Boys

Well, GI Joe glorifies violence.

So.

Time to ban it?

  1. Don't you know "violent" toys are evil, you evil, evil man?

Damn I played with G.I. Joe as a kid, and so did my friends (even my sister played with me sometimes). That was when Joe was 12 inches tall, a kind of boy's Barbie that you could change the clothes on. Also, by the 70s, Joe had become an "adventurer" rather than a military solider, to play down the war theme. Still, I remember we fought imaginary enemies and even had Joe sneak up behind with a knife and cut the bad guy's throat.

I also had lots of toy army men (the little plastic green ones) and of course an endless , uncountable supply of various types of toy guns. I loved all those toys, almost as much or more than my vast collection of toy cars.

My friends and I had hours of fun, we were boys playing like boys, something boys apparently aren't supposed to do anymore. I guess in those days boys were bad, and now the politically correct machine is going to remake them into good little boys.

  2. Same here but not GI Joe's - it's a little after my time. But we played with all sorts of boy toys that involved violence. Yet, not one of us is violent. Go figure.

I hate progressives and their PC bull. They fuck things up.
