Equality And Liberty Mutually Exclusive

It astounds me people still confuse equality and liberty believing them to coexist.

They don't. They can't.

There's a very simple explanation why. In a society that calculates equality as its top priority, when individual liberty and equality for the collective clash, it is the latter that prevails.

One can hide behind the notion that it's the 'democratic will of the people' but it still leaves itself open to tyranny of the majority.

We. See. This. All. The. Time.

I think it's worth noting and repeating:

If the individual is weak, the collective is weak.
