The result, in Canada, speaks for itself doesn't it? In that one little sentence, he exposes the failure of the smug Canadian mentality when it comes to notions of civil liberties.
We're not as committed to "freedom of speech" as we claim. We play bull shit games seeking "a balance." You can't "balance" freedom, Canada. You either have or you don't.
Quebec is currently unhinged. The CHRC is lawless. And Canada is meek.
