Can't Help The Hopeless

My interest in "issues" is merely to point out how badly we're doing, not to suggest a way we might do better. Don't confuse me with those who cling to hope. I enjoy describing how things are, I have no interest in how they "ought to be." And I certainly have no interest in fixing them. I sincerely believe that if you think there's a solution, you're part of the problem. My motto: Fuck Hope!

I hope people realize the government belongs to the people and not the other way around, right?

Don't take things for granted though. While it's tempting to make fun of these folks (especially the douche at the 1:40 mark), the people do belong to the government now. Think of something. Anything. At some level, the government regulates and controls it. Wanna cut hair? Here's the manual on how to handle scissors.

Health, education, etc. Somewhere along the line you have to answer to a bureaucrat.

I hear a lot of stuff about the "extremism" in the GOP. Perhaps it's true, I don't know, but how the statement, "The government is the only thing we belong to" video posted at the DNC is not extreme as well is beyond me to comprehend.

It's frightening to see how people have abdicated their sovereign existence.

It's also creepy the nostalgia held for Clinton. Last I remembered, Clinton's overall Presidency was average (average because Newt Gingrich is the man who made Clinton with the Contract with America) and if that speech is considered "genius" (dude charges 300 grand for speaking at events. I reckon he waived or deep discounted the fee for the DNC), then I should just give up now.

Sorry. If anyone recalls, Clinton is using an old trick. Use passage of time to make things appear better than they were. It's kinda like political morphine for the excited.

I gotta say, with all this war on women garbage, I do see deep hypocrisy with liberal women who love this guy. They do realize he's a womanizer and an adulterer, right? And to the legally inclined, a liar under oath.

Bah.
