I would never touch GM stock. Whenever the government looks to involve the Pentagon to work out kinks and increase sales, you know things aren't as rosy as claimed at the DNC. The stock is off 40% since the bail out.

Loser companies who beg for corporate welfare are worthless in terms of investment.
As for the Volt itself, sober engineers and sound businessmen with rational principals in place thought it was a long shot and so it seems.
Like anything else (ie bad ideas driven from special interest) that comes from the state, maybe they should compel people to buy them?
