Meanwhile, doctors who can't pass an excessively tough and secretive provincial French test are ditching this pad and heading elsewhere. Even when hospitals intervene begging the government to let qualified doctors work because of massive shortages the state turns them down.
Seems to me our priorities are confused.
As far as I can tell, certain types of people would ever say such a frightening silly notion of expropriating more of our income taxes (and I willingly generalize): Non-business owners, robots, ants, the clueless, socialists, welfare recipients, intellectuals and of course politicians who help themselves to our money.
As for user fees, they won't reach their desired result. Let's see, they ding you on your taxes for health care and then they'll hit you at the desk when you go see a doctor? The rationale is that it will deter abusers of the system. I doubt it will. Government initiatives do struggle to attain desired results.
Can anyone tell me exactly what this money will be used for? I haven't found one source or document explaining what the government plans to do with the cash.
Anyway. It's Easter. I don't want to get into this further.

Bah. One more thing. Yesterday I went out to by a Bar-BQ. In one section I saw Home Depot, Second Cup, Canadian Tire, Chapters/Indigo, Starbucks, and Winners. Wow. All these English words. Tsk, tsk, tsk. We can't have that, no?
