Not a day goes by where Justin Trudeau doesn't make my stomach churn. He's quite possibly the most disingenuous clown to ever walk the halls of Parliament. Moist, soft and feeble, he gingerly walks and talks.
Today, in an unsurprising move, the Liberals moved to ban '1500 assault weapons' in the aftermath of the Nova Scotia shootings. Now, granted a lot of it is theater since most of the guns are already restricted so it's possible he did this to 'show' he did something.
Still. Why do it?
Using all the usual tired tropes 'you don't need an AR-15 to hunt deer' and 'enough is enough', the Canadian government basically could open the door down the road to a black market based on one outlier event.
There are roughly 82 000 of these 'assault rifles' in Canada of which are in the hands of law-abiding, peaceful citizens. It's none of Justin's pampered business why people own these guns. It's a free society and people choose what they want to do as they see fit.
I'm not a gun nut but maybe we should stop always using them as scapegoats whenever these tragic events happen.
What ignoramuses don't understand is that a lot of those guns being banned won't do much to make us 'safe'. Canada is already largely a safe country.
A Marlin lever action shot gun can do more damage than most of those guns if you know how to use it.
In playing these games, we potentially make criminals of citizens who weren't criminals.
The RCMP isn't without fault either. A police outfit that failed to investigate Trudeau for his crimes in the SNC-Lavalin scandal also has a black mark on its stained emblem now. The murderous psycho was known to police and he was still cleared to get a gun as the background checks failed.
Here's a government that doesn't even have popular support and feels arrogant enough to ram this through without consulting Parliament.
You're a joke Justin.
