CBC Excels In Disingenuous Hit Piecing

It's a talent and nod to their pal Justin. He applauds like a remedial sea lion.

*****

Will Duranty of the New York Times characterizing Joseph Stalin's deliberate and systematic murder of Kulaks (and Poles) during the five-year plan: echoing Soviet propaganda "...No actual starvation....widespread mortality from diseases due to malnutrition." Bloodlands p. 56. Timothy Snyder.

Duranty knew full well people were being murdered by serial killers.

Yet when the chance came to tell the world the truth he lied.

Like all cowards do.

Alas, for his mendacity he won a Pulitzer.

Duranty is someone I've been reading about for over 30 years now. He's my guide to useful idiots. You would think modern journalists would learn to avoid his sickening reporting but they haven't.

I also learned to not hold the Pulitzer Prize in high regards because that's a feature not a bug.

For a real journalist who spoke the truth  see Gareth Jones - an obscure and forgotten Welsh journalist. He didn't win a prize but called what he saw in the Soviet Union for what it was: Murder. He wasn't buying their propaganda like dumbass left-wing North American writers did.

Jones gave his life for seeking the truth likely killed by the raving lunatics in the NKVD.

Duranty went on to be celebrated.

Duanty was in my mind when I came across - sigh - another CBC hit piece.

I've been noticing the Epoch Times in the last few years and they're now starting to get attention because of their anti-CCP stance from left-wing media outlets like the CBC.

The Epoch Times, from what I've seen, definitely leans right but is not sensational. They're also pretty factual.

The fact that censorious Facebook bans them and the CBC did a hit piece on them,  Wiki has them listed as 'far right' is enough for me to keep reading their stuff.

I happen to agree with their position on China. The CBC offers very little meaningful reporting or information on the nitty-gritty reality of Chinese politics. They simply don't have the guts or gumption to do it. Much easier to go after the news organizations who do have the balls.

In the CBC, we see the shadowy cowardly ghost of Duranty guiding their journalism. See the titles:

Canadians upset by Epoch Times claim China made coronavirus as a bioweapon

Some Canadians see claims in Epoch Times about origin of virus as 'racist and inflammatory'

See. If you want China to account for their actions of not notifying the world about the coronavirus (Wuhan virus) and their continued propaganda, you're a racist.

It would be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetically sad.

And dangerous.

For those of you of free and open minds here's the Twitter account to The Epoch Times.

There are news organizations who put themselves at risk exposing Communist China.

The CBC isn't one of them.

*****

Youtube's fact check panels - the Troikas of Illiberalism - are back.

And they're cracking Kulak heads.

More here. Do NOT say mean things about the CCP.
