13% in Canada.

We destroyed our economies and with it many lives.

I still fail to see how we succeeded here.

Did it actually save lives? Not if it destroyed others.

One of the most thoughtless decisions we've ever made.

Quarantining people is a legitimate health policy.
Isolating healthy people is house arrest.

We will have a lot of 'splainin' to do. I don't think this will age well.

It will go down as one hyper over reaction based on faulty models and CCP lies.

Someone asked me how Europe dealt with the virus.

In Europe, it seems there's more social cohesion. When the state decided to shut down, the people were already in that mindset. When it was time to open up merely a couple of months later - despite higher numbers than Canada and even the USA on a per capita basis - the people quietly were in line with that decision. No fuss, no muss. The government didn't dick people around and opened up.

Here, it's the opposite. When we said it was to 'flatten the curve' and 'to not overwhelm the system' when we achieved this they moved the goal posts like little shits and doubled down on the lockdowns with specious data and vague terms like 'we're not out of the woods' and 'we must save everyone'.

And they look like Lyle Lanley when they do it. They lack such credibility it's pathetic. 

I don't know what's going on here. Is it incompetence? Something more?

The flip side though is we assimilate cultures better than Europe does.

If there's no black market or people opening in defiance, we have a dead and lethargic democracy.

We need true leaders. Not fake leaders who hide behind medical bureaucrats.

Lots of talk about investing and taking advantage of low stock prices. The biggest cheerleaders of the lockdowns that helped foster and engineer mass misery are looking to top off their investment portfolios.

If we had a truly skeptical populace, one not awash in superstition (and make no mistake thinking you're a hero for cowering believing you're saving granny is superstition), Fauci and Tam sit on a Dunk Tank.
