-Christian evolution: In a superficial slow moving snap shot during the early to mid parts of the Roman empire. Despite heavy persecution, their dedication to the new religion didn't go unnoticed despite their focus on mysticism which perplexed pagans. But the religion kept persevering - and growing despite not being officially recognized.
Slowly, as Rome suffered through mediocre emperors, they began amassing lands. Roman culture was entering its peak decadent stage including widespread infanticide and excessive births. Christians began saving children and the pagans observing the chaos around them began converting in search of meaning in their lives and the chaos swirling around them eventually culminating into Christianity becoming the official religion of Rome. After fall of Rome, the Christian Church was instrumental in keeping what was left of the fragments of Europe left in its wake including health care and education.
-Political ideology: Despite contemporary views of conservatism (thanks to progressive media purposely painting a distorted view of it), comes with different branches and has evolved over time though some basic tenets remain ie adherence to keeping record and faith with religion and history as the key to transitioning necessary change and keeping social order; to maintain traditions to transmit values and culture. The push of pull of Whig and Tory; classical liberal and conservative; Red tory and blue conservative; to what we have currently in progressive and liberal conservative.
We do not have classical conservative or classical liberal. We have thinkers and public speakers as well as magazine dedicated to keeping their flames alive but very little of it finds its way into the body politic. We're getting glimpses of it through people like the Pauls, Thomas Massie and Maxime Bernier.
Trump, Biden, Trudeau are nether liberal or conservative in any classical sense.
-Rock stars who take political stance are intolerant. They sing about love but in practice they basically tell a segment of their audience to stuff it. Yes, free speech but it's a form of intolerance.
Why would you do that? It does leave a bad taste.
I'm wary to pay for any form of entertainment for fear of getting hijacked.
Maybe they should show some class and respect for their paying customers in the audience who may not share their views.
