Have I not posted the exact positions about declining rates of violence in the USA a couple of months before The Economist?
Their conclusions mirror pretty much the Reason Magazine community.
Honestly, anyone who keeps informed knew from the get-go the administration was relying on appeals to emotions and stereotypes.
The way I see it, logic prevailed over emotions in the gun-control bill. Too bad the same didn't happen with Obamacare.
The Economists wonders how could the number of gun ownership increase coincide with declining homicide rates (recall that I presented numerous links showing violent rates of assaults are HIGHER in the UK, Italy, France, Australia, Germany and Canada than they are in the USA)?
It's a good question which I'm in no position to answer. I just spot the patterns and call out bull shit.
Perhaps there was some sort of tipping point?
