Obama's Face Palm Analogy

By now, I think most Canadians have heard Obama's little analogy using Canada-USA relations with Israel and Palestine.

Yes. So many similarities. I can't keep track.

Poor Canada. Such an afterthought, and even when thought of beforehand it doesn't usually end well for us.

Heh.

If you haven't heard by now....read here.

“I mean, you know, the United States and Canada has arguments once in a while, but they’re not the nature of arguments that can’t be solved diplomatically.”

Real orators don't say "you know" and "I mean."

Just saying.

He's a lecturer.

There's a difference to me.

  1. Real orators don't interject "uh" and "um" every few words either. Since he does it even when reading off the teleprompter, one wonders if he is a slow (he can't keep up) or fast (teleprompter can't keep up) reader.

Well, you guys did invade us a couple hundred years ago. My Canadian friend says we have Canada to thank for our White House.

  2. That damn War of 1812. Canadians never tire of bringing that up. Which is funny because one of the defining features of being Canadian is that we're not as militaristic as Americans yet we keep bringing up 1812 every chance we get as a source of pride.

Anyway, it was more a collection of local militia, some Natives, British and I think French soldiers who burned down the WH - Canada wasn't officially born unti 1867. We didn't really have our own independent army until WWII.

Yes, from what I read, it's why Washington went white after the black paint!

    Big shit.
