Fort Hood: Hasan's Terrorist Ties And Obama's Poor Perfomance

I don't know much. I think many of you know this by now. Most must think, "That Commentator sure doesn't know a whole lot but he's so cute!"

However, I do know one thing. When a guy goes bat shit and screams "God is great" in Arabic as is alleged by Maj. Hasan before he killed 13 and wounded 31, it's not that hard to conclude it was a terrorist act.

It won't be long before both sides of the ideological spectrum begin to try and pin blame but all this will do is confuse further the seriousness of the issue. An American born individual of Muslim religious background and served in the military turned against his own in protest of the war against terrorism. Homegrown terrorism has finally filtered to the top.

This in itself (the murders) raises all sorts of moral and legal dilemmas as well as more functional ones like what type of people should consider a life in the military. It pits nationality versus ancestral heritage.

Let's not delineate from the task at hand. And that task is to remains vigilant against an enemy so piggish in its application of war it remains alien to our. Now, to those who feel everything begins and ends with the evil American empire (and between liberals and conspiracy theorists that number may very well be high), this is an over reaction or even wrong. They may claim he was a conscienscious objector.

In any event, don't be afraid to call this for what it is: A terrorist act.

Moving forward it will be interesting to learn more about the mental state of the suspect.

And then there's this bizarre "shout out" by the President. First, it's Gates and the "they acted stupidly" reaction and now there's the infamous "shout out." MSNBC, of all networks, chimed in with "Obama's Frightening Insensitivity Following Shooting." Follow the link to the video. It certainly is an eye opener.

Always trying to look cool. Do I smell another talk show circuit tour or an excuse to blame Limbaugh?

  1. This story makes me more perplexed than ever about how easily the US military can be infiltrated by terrorists or terrorist sympathizers..

  2. Scary stuff indeed. From what I'm reading (and it really isn't surprising) part of the problem is the military (and society as a whole) can't ask the appropriate questions to detect and discipline potentially dangerous people. Yes, I'm referring to political correctness.

Apparently, they knew what this guy was up to but chose not to act.
